"I am pleased to have received another product to trial for 2011 in the form of 'Llama 'Nure Tea' ('Nure being as you may have guessed an abbreviation of manure!) and again enabling me to report my findings here for the benefit of my readers".
Provider: Balmyllamafarm are the producers of what is literally Llama manure refined by a process until it resembles a tea look alike product, for use as a fertiliser of garden plants. Although of course its not for human consumption (please click on this link for up to date information).
History of Balmyllamafarm: 'work in progress'
Llama 'Nure Tea is the powdered result of a natural process, with only a little human intervention. The process takes vegetable matter (grasses, nettles, thorns, wood, grains and much more) through a unique digestive system which creates waste in the form of pellets deposited on the ground. A little human intervenes (with rubber gloves!) and collects the pellets, spreading them out in a drying zone, and then with a little human grind, the pellets are turned into a powder. There are sizes available of 220g/450g/900g and the package you will receive contains the result of this collective endeavour for your use and enjoyment.

My findings (work in progress 2011): for my trial purposes I was provided with a container of 'Nure Tea' and I have decided to use the product not on my dahlias but on my exhibition gladiolis (I grow 50 of them). This will enable me to dedicate the feed to one aspect area of my growing plans for 2011. I will use the feed as recommended being to "place two heaped teaspoonsful of Llama'Nure Tea into your watering can, leave to steep overnight, and get ready for a 'pap snackle crop'!! Please let me know how it works out for you by logging on to www.balmyllamafarm.co.uk and telling it like it is". And you can't say fairer than that!
