History of Böd Ayre: Böd Ayre Products, Shetland, is operated by an organic farming family. Established in   June 2001 on a pilot scale, Böd Ayre Products expanded in 2003, and produce natural and organically certified seaweed gardening & animal feed supplement products from natural and wild Shetland coastal water seaweed.  The seaweed is carefully harvested by hand, leaving the root and part of the plant, to ensure regrowth.  Our production and product range has grown steadily. The Continental Shelf around Shetland is a mixing zone for nutrients welling up from the Atlantic depths - one of the most productive corners of the global ocean, seaweeds thrive in the clean and clear waters.

My findings (mid July 2010): having dedicated a plot of 12 dahlias to the Bod Ayre products supplied to me I have now utlised those products for several months and can state how delighted I am with the resultant dahlias being very healthy and strong with no signs of check.  I also must comment on the service and communication from Bod Ayre which has been first class, very friendly and exceedingly prompt.  This week I have exhausted the Sea-X Seaweed Liquid Extract (Filtered) sent to me and I contacted Margaret saying how I wished to carry on using the product in order to continue my trial.  Within a couple of hours Margaret had replied to my email in a friendly manner saying how some more Liquid Extract would be sent to me.  A couple of days later and the delivery was recieved without fuss or hesitation.  Bearing in mind how I am not a 'business' yet am an enthusiastic 'bread and butter' dahlia grower, I have no hesitation in recommending both Bod Ayre and it's products, and long may they prosper.  I will give a further update as the dahlias mature and those magical blooms are in evidence.

Verdict: Highly recommended.

For: Excellent product, together with superb prompt and friendly service.

Against: Basically there are cheaper seaweed based products available on the market  (eg. Maxicrop) however you pays your money and takes your choice.
